Contraception
We offer guidance on the most suitable contraceptive methods based on individual needs, and we ensure that all options are discussed in a non-judgmental and supportive environment. Our goal is to empower individuals and couples to make choices that align with their personal circumstances and reproductive goals, while providing ongoing support and care throughout their family planning journey. Contraceptive choices include long acting reversible contraception, and short acting reversible contraception:
Short-acting contraceptives Short-acting contraceptives are are types of contraception that depend on you remembering to take or use them regularly or each time you have intercourse. These include the: progesterone only and combined contraceptive (the pill).
LARCs Long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) are types of contraception that you do not have to remember to take everyday. These include the: implant injection copper coil (intrauterine device/IUD) and hormonal coil (intrauterine system/IUS)
Cervical Smear Test
A cervical screening test (previously known as a smear test) looks to see if you might be at greater risk of developing cervical cancer.
HPV virus, which is responsible for 90% of Cervical Cancers, is now routinely tested as part of your smear.
